Its so weird to think we are getting down into the last bunch of weeks before Cory gets home. This is definitely the shortest deployment I have gone through, but I am not going to complain about it one bit. I do happen to think we deserved a shorter deployment. I might add (like I ALWAYS do but.. DANG it was hard!!) our third deployment was extended and ended up being 9 months.
So, I happen to think it all equals out quite nicely. 

I'll be excited to get Cory home, back in our lives and getting in some much needed family time, and hoping this may be our last deployment for a while a few years. I don't know but we will see what God has planned for our future in the Marine Corps.

So to all my blog readers, hopefully the next post you see is a HOMECOMING one ;)

Is this real life?

I seriously feel like I was just posting my 3 months down blog!!

This past month has been the busiest for Face and I!

We've had so much going on and have had lots of visitors :)

Its always nice staying busy while Cory is gone, but this month was probably the busiest month I have ever had in my life! Okay...not in my life, but for a long time.
I definitely decided to take more time for Face and me this next month.
I plan on having 2 "off" days each week where we spend them at home, doing chores and hanging out.
Its kinda funny, most people are trying to get out of their houses and I am just trying to be in mine long enough to get a couple loads of laundry done. lol

I've been so thankful for good friends & family this month.
All my good friends know how hard of a time Face has been having.
My sweet, gentle, silly boy turned into this mean, child. He had been majorly acting out, doing things he has never done. Like hitting, biting, and all those things you do NOT want your kids to do to anyone.
I do realize its hard for a 4 year old to go weeks without talking to his father, so I completely get where its coming from. BUT there were days I couldn't handle it very well and I thought I was gonna lose my mind!! Thankful my mind is still in tact and not lost.

If there is one thing I have learned in parenting its that kids will test you till the cows come home. Usually its not so bad dealing with that when you got your partner coming home every night to give you that "adult conversation" and take over the reins for a while, but when your partner is gone.. its hard, you miss that break!! So I am so thankful for every one of you who have answered the phone just to listen to me complain, offer me council, those who have offered to watch Face for me, and those who still want to be our friends even though my child has hit, pushed, shoved, or bit your child. I am SO SO SO lucky to have you all in my life. I don't deserve to have such amazing people in my life, but I do, and I am so very thankful for it.

THREE MONTHS DOWN!!!

Okay, I am not gonna lie. February has confused me! 

I usually countdown from the 30th to the 30th of each month. Ya know.... since Cory left on the 30th BUT February has NO 30th! Like, EVER!!!!!!

When I looked at my calendar this month I started sweating bullets, hysterics started to set in.

 I mean how can I call it "three months down" without a 30th?
Shoot I can't even get close to a 30th with a 29th this year, the 29th was LAST year.
OMG we deployed on the wrong year!!!!!

I can't count the 1st as a "month down"  then it would be March, and that just feels so so wrong.
Skip February?
No! no! no! no!

Then I calmed down. 

I breathed. 

So yes, I am counting my "Three Months Down" on the ... 28th (eek) BUT just this one time, for this one month. ;P Deal?

I figured all the "real technical" people aren't my friends anyway, and most of you wont be bothered by this date. lol!

So yep. Here we are 3 months down.

We celebrated our "half way home" dinner at the end of this month, and that was an awesome feeling :)

I can't believe the months are rolling right along. Cooper is definitely keeping me busy. We celebrated his 4th birthday yesterday *TEAR* 

Its the first of Coop's birthday's Cory has missed, so I feel like we've really lucked out that Cory was able to be there when he was born and his first 3 birthdays. A lot of military families aren't that lucky, and they miss a lot. :(

Well, goodbye month 3, wish I could say we will miss you. 

Now on to tackle month number four! ;P
